The Parish Prayer Line

St Anne's Church, Ormskirk

prayerlineThe Parish Book of Intentions is kept on the altar in Our Lady's Chapel for anyone to write in. At Mass each Sunday, all these intentions, whether in the book or on the prayer line are included in the Bidding Prayers

We offer intercessory prayers on behalf of our fellow parishioners, or for anyone who has asked for our prayers, for whatever reason.

Every member of the group has committed to include the intentions on the prayer line into their daily prayer time. This is done by using the Prayer Line prayer, which was composed by members of the group after much deliberation and, of course prayer. This is then passed on by word of mouth to all members of the team, with confidentiality, and anonymity if preferred, being assured.

The prayer:

God our Father
We thank you that you are with us always
Sharing our joys and supporting us in our sorrows.
May your Holy Spirit guide our hearts and minds and
Bless the intentions we bring before you today.
And may the warmth of your love surround those we prayer for,
Bringing them hope and consolation.
We make this prayer through Christ our Lord, Amen
