St Anne's Catholic Church Ormskirk Funerals

Our Catholic way of life teaches us that death is not an end of life but a change. In the funeral of a Christian we celebrate the faith of a deceased person and Christ's victory over death and suffering. It is also a time for friends and family to share their sorrow in the presence of Christ and through the liturgy of the Church.

One of the priests (or deacons) will share closely with the family in preparing plans for the funeral. Choosing suitable readings and hymns can assist a family to remember and share faith with the departed. Funerals are normally arranged during the week, not weekends.
