St Anne's Catholic Church Ormskirk First Holy Communion

First Holy Communion for children is usually celebrated when they are aged seven. It is a time when children can begin to understand and participate fully in the sacrament of the Eucharist

For children attending St Anne's school, the preparation is undertaken by the school working closely with the Parish Priest and the parents. Where this does not apply, a special programme is set up under the direction of trained catechists. Particular provision is made for children older than seven and for children who have special needs
